 The George
& Dragon is a charming 15th Century building in the
very small village of Fordwich just 2½ miles from Canterbury and 10 to 12 miles
from the coast. The enclosed garden has 30 tables. We employ high quality Chefs who have
superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu
or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show
their flair! You will be served meals which have been prepared
from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an
extensive choice of quality wines.
Evening
dining is by candlelight. For those with a limited lunch break we are happy to take orders
by phone so that the meal is ready when you arrive, this is popular with
local businesses. We are very proud of
our real ales which vary from strong in the winter to lighter ones in the summer.
These are from out of area breweries around the country to give a little
variety. Come along soon to this quality destination food house to
experience something a little different. The helpful
