 The
Southern Cross, located in a residential
area of Watford, has a sophisticated air offering good food, wine and ales. With an
open plan design but separate areas the pub was refurbished in early 2002
and has a modern, bright, clean and fresh décor. We attract a good
passing trade during the day of office workers who spend their lunchtimes
with us either enjoying a tasty meal or a quality drink with colleagues.
We have an extensive choice of real ales here which are Cask Marque
accredited to give you the ultimate taste. In the evenings we
are renowned for our quizzes and board games with many locals coming in on a
regular basis. On quiz nights we are the busiest pub in Watford.
For those who live further away the pub has the added
bonus of 11 recently refurbished rooms to stay so there really is no excuse
for not coming and taking part in the conversation and fun of this happy
