 The Rye House is located just outside the town of
Hoddesdon, beside
the railway station on the Liverpool Street to Hertford East line. This
recently refurbished
riverside pub is in a lovely setting with moorings for boats at the bottom of
the garden. Built of brick in 1443 this venue is steeped in history.
Fully refurbished in 2006, today it has an RSPB site close by and to the south there are facilities for
greyhound, stock car, athletics racing and karting within five minutes walk of
the pub. As well as visitors to the attractions, we have a strong base of
local regulars and families, along with business people from nearby. Food
is served from an extensive main menu and for those with limited time you can
phone or fax your order in advance so that it is waiting for you when you arrive.
