We refurbished in Autumn 2009
from a sports bar to a food led, family friendly pubs. Inside has a
traditional feel with a modern twist. The new warm decor and comfy sofas
really give it a welcoming feel.

 The
Punch House is situated on West Street in Ware. This
large, impressive brick building was converted from a sports bar in
Autumn 2009 to a family friendly venue serving traditional pub fayre
from an extensive main menu with great food offers often available.
Inside is open plan with plenty of dining space. A large fireplace
separates a more intimate area with comfy sofas, known as the snug,
which is at a slightly lower level. Traditional in style with a
modern twist we have kept some of the rustic charm with occasional
exposed brickwork and fireplaces. Ware is a business town and our
main clientele are workers calling in at lunchtimes for a quick pint, a
spot of lunch and a chat or later at the end of the day. An
industrious town you will see a statue dedicated to the workers of the
local brewery which we are proud of. There is a friendly
atmosphere here with a very wide age range from 16 to 60 - very handy
for shoppers to pop in. At key calendar dates we get involved
arranging special promotions or events such as Halloween. Our
previous ones have been a success with great feedback from our customers
- so watch out for more. Ware Museum, a small yet interesting
place and Hertford town centre are not far from us so should you be
visiting one of these places of interest, shopping or wanting a well
earned drink after work, pop in and see us soon. |
