Old Bell PhotoBuilt during the reign of Elizabeth I in 1615, this is a very traditional pub in the old town of Hemel Hempstead.  The Old Bell has strong links to Henry V111 with secret passages to the church and Marchmont House.  We still retain some unusual French wallpaper dating back to 1821, which has been cleaned by the V & A Museum.  All this has created a very welcoming pub with friendly staff and good facilities.  The pub is split into three separate areas which are all attached to the main bar.  This is well stocked with a good selection of beers and a quality range of the best real ales.  Our function room upstairs is ideal for all occasions including meetings.  We are popular with shoppers, office and business people and pre-restaurant trade during the day.  In the evenings and particularly at the weekends many youngsters come along for an excellent sociable evening.  With the sport shown on plasma screens the Old Bell has a good sports following and our regulars will give newcomers a warm welcome.  Come along soon to try good food, drink and sport with friends and family.
