Located just north of Hemel
Hempstead, in Piccotts End, the glorious 18th Century
Marchmont Arms has been transformed
into a modern, stylish, country pub & eating house. Built in the
18th Century by Lord Marchmont, this beautiful building was a private
residence for over two centuries before being converted into one of the
area’s most stunning pubs. You will now find a pub full of fresh
food, warm hospitality and a stylishly modern feel. The Marchmont
Arms has finally been re-invented as the pub it always should have been.
The Marchmont Arms’ menu is simple and contemporary with lots of
tempting homely dishes that will always please. The emphasis is on
quality with fresh ingredients produced by a great Head Chef and his
food-loving team. As well as plenty of fresh fish, great steaks
and spit roasted meats, there is an abundance of lighter options such as
freshly prepared salads, pastas and fired pizzas. The extensive
wine list has an even balance of New and Old World wines with a variety
of styles to choose from, as well as over 15 wines available by the
glass. For those celebrating a special occasion there are also some
great Champagnes at very accessible prices. The Marchmont Arms has 10
different beers on tap ranging from continental lagers to European
speciality beers, such as Leffe and Edelweiss, as well as some great
ales like the award-winning Timothy Taylor Landlord. With plenty
of log fires and cosy corners, guests are welcome to nestle in the
alcoves and spend some indulgent time not worrying about everyday life.
A large and vibrant dining area will surely reverberate with chatter as
guests catch up with friends or make future plans. The most important feature of The Marchmont Arms is the people that look after you. It is the attention to
detail of the team as well as the warmth and hospitality that will make
your visit here a memorable one.
