Despite once being one of the
main focal points to the town
centre,
The Kings
Arms had grown tired
over the years. However,
seizing this opportunity to
restore new life into this
historical and beautiful
building, Oakman Inns &
Restaurants worked for almost
two years to create the stylish
bar, grill and restaurant with
15 en-suite bedrooms that it is
today. The historic
building, dating back to the
17th century, has been
completely renovated in Autumn
2010 to reveal a traditional bar
lounge area with open fires and
soft leather seating, a
contemporary stainless steel
bar, and a modern, airy
restaurant featuring full length
sliding glass doors. The
stylish bar and lounge area
offers a diverse range
incorporating local real ales
and fine wines, as well as
champagne and cocktails. A
bar food menu is available all
day, and the bar is open until
midnight midweek and until 1am
on Fridays and Saturdays.
Come and see us soon, you wont
be disappointed.
