Greyhound PhotoThe Greyhound is a beautiful Georgian building located in the sleepy village of Wigginton.  This old Country Inn offers a warm welcome to all visitors to this rather special venue.  Set in superb walking countryside we are close to the A41 bypass with Champney's Health Resort not far away.  The pub is furnished to a high standard with a traditional bar and lounge with comfortable seating.  Open fires lend a warm, friendly ambiance during the winter months.  We have built up an excellent reputation for the food we serve here since our head chef, Chris Ward, took over the dining side at the end of May 2005.  Since then his experience in Berkhampstead and before that in Thailand and the Channel Islands has made a most positive impact on the dishes presented here.  All food is cooked to order using the freshest ingredients, sourced from local suppliers wherever possible.  Nothing is frozen and even our desserts are crafted by hand!  Your meal can be eaten throughout the pub or al fresco in the garden during the warm summer months.  There is a good range of wines to choose from to complement your meal or real ales and draught beer at the bar if preferred.  If you are looking for a new destination food house to try, it is certainly worth travelling that extra mile to the Greyhound!

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
