George IV is a country cottage type Inn
surrounded by fields with beautiful views. We re-opened
following an extensive refurbishment in Summer 2011.
With a stylish look there is a light and airy feel
and we have also created additional dining space.
Outside we have also created extra seating with new
furniture. It is ideally located 3
miles from Stevenage and 2 from Letchworth, with the A1(M) being in close
proximity. The village of Baldock hosts a weekly market and the
George IV is the only pub in the village to serve food, which is available
until late every day. We have our own menu of authentic English
fayre with an accompanying specials board. On Sundays we serve a delicious
traditional carvery with the choice of up to three meats. There is a
wide range of drinks on offer to enjoy alone or accompany your meal.
Our large beer garden is perfect for al fresco
dining. We host a popular bi-weekly quiz and a monthly
music quiz. Everyone is very welcome to join
in. The George IV offers a friendly atmosphere all the time and we look forward to seeing you soon. |
