OLD ENGLISH INNS

|
|
ABOUT
US |
|
Originally a 17th century
coaching inn, The Feathers was originally called The Prince’s Arms and
had been owned by various blacksmiths and tanners before being renamed
in 1670. Today you’ll find the inn, with its convivial atmosphere and
ivy-clad walls, a perfect mix of beautifully conserved buildings and modern facilities that will make your stay in this pretty Herts village
totally memorable and relaxing. |

The Feathers Inn is situated in the pretty village of Wadesmill with easy access to the M25 and M11 motorways. Originally
known as the Princes Arms when it was first built in 1615, the name was
changed to The Feathers in 1670 and from then on became a busy Coaching Inn,
stabling over 100 horses! Today the inn is ivy clad and offers a
perfect mix of olde worlde seasoned beams and fireplaces alongside modern
facilities. This is a popular meeting place for local residents,
business people and visitors to the area. Food is served from an
extensive menu with a Sunday Carvery available. There is a
wide range of wines to complement your meal or a good selection of real
ales if preferred. For those wishing to extend their stay with us we
have quality accommodation available. If you are looking for something
rather special either in a dining venue or a place to stay then look no
further than the relaxed, informal ambiance of The Feathers. You will
be made very welcome. |
