 The Akeman is
situated in Tring town centre. The pub, with the Anglo-Saxon name
for Oak Man, has a Victorian facade which disguises the modern
interpretation of the original public house. This large,
attractive venue has a warm, comfortable ambience with comfy sofas to
provide a relaxed place to meet up with friends for a drink or meal.
Our clientele include local regulars, business people, families and
visitors. Delicious food is served from interesting menus, our
fish dishes being a culinary favourite. There is a good choice of
wine to complement your meal or a real ale if preferred. Leading
out from the long, traditional bar is the large, light, contemporary
restaurant area with courtyard for al fresco dining beyond - plenty of
choice as to where to enjoy your meal. Whether you live locally or
have to travel some distance you will not be disappointed when coming to
this award winning destination food house. Decorated in warm,
neutral colours and having a smart parquet floor and real roaring fire,
