passion is chargrilling, because
we're passionate about food. We only
use the finest cuts of steak from
traditionally reared cattle fed
predominantly on grass to ensure

Our steaks are expertly prepared by
a British family run firm of
butchers and matured for a minimum
of 28 days before being seared on
the chargrill for that special

 This
recently refurbished, attractive well kept pub /
restaurant is located 1 mile from the Hereford city centre on the A49, 5
minutes from the Race Course and 2 minutes from the Leisure Centre. The
Starting Gate is in a quiet area being the only eating house in the vicinity
where meals are served into the evening. Meals can be enjoyed for a
number of menus, in both
the restaurant or bar area and with the refurbishment we can now offer booth
seating for more intimate dining. The new look includes a
contemporary colour scheme with greens and creams etc. Like all Beefeaters we are renowned for
our high class food and service and we guarantee everyone who joins us will be
satisfied with their choice. There is also a large
beer garden. With a Premier Inn next door, full disabled facilities and children welcome throughout the
Beefeater we cater for a large number of people. All our staff are very
friendly and helpful and look forward to meeting you soon.
