Ye Olde George Inn is a delightful 15th Century Coaching Inn, with the River Meon running by the side of the building. Set in the village of East Meon this quaint pub, with historic buildings nearby, is in the heart of Hampshire's most beautiful countryside. This has long been regarded as one of the loveliest places in this valley and East Meon boasts a Norman church with a remarkable 12th Century marble font, an impressive 15th Century Courthouse, and an outstanding hostelry, Ye Olde George Inn! This atmospheric old pub still retains it's open fires and wooden floors. Our clientele range from 40 to 70 years of age and include regular locals, walkers enjoying the South Downs Way and visitors staying in the area. Our food is delicious and we pride ourselves in the fact that it is all homemade, including an extensive range of desserts, even down to the shortbread with your coffee! We are even 'dog friendly' and have bowls of water available for them. Come and treat yourself to a delicious meal or real ale served to perfection next time you are close by.
