The Wight Mouse
Inn is to be found in the small village of Chale overlooking the
Bay and Tennyson Down on the Isle of Wight. Historically, this
17th Century Coaching Inn was a popular holiday destination venue for
the well to do. Today, our clientele is made up of local regulars,
farmers and holiday makers. This old, traditional building has
been extended but still kept the original style. There are two
fireplaces which are lit in winter, wooden beams and stone flag
flooring. Popular with families, our indoor play area can cater
for about 30 - 40 children with some seating for adults and supervision
is necessary. The outdoor play area has a ball pool and soft
shapes for the younger children to one side with the more adventurous
climbing frames for the older ones to the other. Being
family friendly we are an ideal stop off point for everyone. We
offer accommodation which is ideal for business people, families
visiting the Needles Theme Park or people attending one of the many
festivals. Dog walkers and ramblers often join us as there are
plenty of local walks around. We are renowned for our excellent
food and drink so make sure you come and see us next time you visit this
part of the Island. |
