 The White Hart
Inn is a
beautiful 16th Century Coaching Inn located
on the main street
of South Harting, a sleepy village on the edge of the South Downs,
only a mile away from the National Trust House Uppark.
Recently refurbished to the highest
standard maintaining the authentic features and character of this
historic building, the pub has a
main bar, snug and games room with a pool table and darts board. Our restaurant
serves high quality traditional
British Pub food
and we are able to cater for intimate private parties or meetings in our
function room which overlooks the garden.
The excellent, freshly prepared food, real ales and fine wines are
enjoyed not only by the regular locals but many walkers and cyclists on their
journey along the South Downs Way.
At the rear of the
building the large, beautiful garden overlooking the Downs has many mature trees
and a pond. The car park is to the side
of the building and there are no restrictions to parking on the street
to the front.
The owners offer a warm welcome to all our customers
and will ensure they all enjoy their stay, whether
relaxing with a glass of wine next to the open log
fires or sampling dishes from the extensive menu of
traditional homemade food. The White Hart team
