 The
Waterwitch, named after a working canal boat on the
Basingstoke Canal, is a 17th Century canal-side pub, originally called the New Inn,
in Odiham, Hampshire. We have an extensive garden to the rear
which goes right
down to the canal and if you are on a canal walk the pub is accessible via a bridge beside us.
There is also a large
patio area. Inside there is quite a collection of memorabilia from HMS Waterwitch
which was a mine sweeper and we have even had a visit from one of the elderly
gentleman who served on it! There are nooks and
crannies, original features like low ceilings, real log fires, wooden
beams and even an old bread oven which you can see from the fireplace in front of
the bar. Quality real ales are served here. We have Cask Marque
accreditation which guarantees perfection! This pub is a true
destination venue. We serve restaurant style food from a very good main menu
with daily Specials
which include fresh fish dishes. There are 95 covers here and the
service is second to none. Come and try this cosy, homely venue in the
near future. You will be made very welcome.
