 The
Talisman is located in a semi rural
position at Park Gate, just off Junction 9 of the
M27. The pub used to be a barn depot for the
local strawberry trade, (talisman is a type of
strawberry), storing the fruit prior to dispatching
it across the country. Today the pub has a
nicely enclosed, well maintained garden with lots of
plants. It is south facing with 160 covers for
al fresco dining. Our main focus inside are
the roaring log fires and oak beams which give a
traditional English Inn atmosphere - cosy in the
winter and fresh in the summer. There are
separate rooms with a bar area and lounge. We
are well known in area for excellent friendly
service and a jovial landlord! Serving
delicious food and quality real ales this is a place
to try in the near future. The age range of
our pub is from the mid 25's upwards, so why not
come and meet the regular locals at this sociable
venue. |
