English Ale Festival in celebration of St George.
Come and take part in our new English Ale Festival, running
until the 28th May. As well as a number of English cask ales you
can request us to source locally brewed beers! In addition to
superb beers we have launched a newsletter with lots of helpful
information. You can also take part in our collector scheme,
whereby if you purchase 9 festival bitters you will be entered
into a free prize draw to win a limited edition glass tankard
engraved with the Festival logo. |

 The Sovereigns
is located just off the M275 into Portsmouth, opposite the Ferry Terminal.
This pleasant pub was built in 1996 and fully refurbished to a high standard
in December 2007. We have a fantastic new contemporary, open plan look, with
neutral colour scheme and modern features. The bar area offers a
comfortable environment to relax with a cup of fresh coffee or a drink alone
or with friends. You can also take advantage of our free wireless
internet access. Good pub food can be enjoyed in the restaurant or bar
area, with a varied menu offering a range of dishes including a selection of
pub favourites at two for £12 prices. During the day many office
workers, people from the Travel Lodge next door and families call in to
enjoy a tasty lunch or a relaxing pint with friends. There is a patio
area with giant umbrellas so food can be enjoyed, or drinks outside all year
round. There is a purpose built indoor play building for smaller
children, so you can unwind while the kids play. Although mainly a dining house
offering good food and good service, we also provide an excellent selection
