Being
the hub of the village community of Liphook, we have been modernised for
comfort and offer quality food and drink. The
Royal
Anchor is a large
Hungry Horse pub with a main bar for eating and drinking, sports bar and 85 seater restaurant. The pub has plenty
of history. Parts of it date back to the 16th Century with
the original Inn on the site being there since the 14th Century. The
Inn was visited by Wellington, Captain Nelson with Lady Hamilton and Queen Victoria. In those days we were the main stopping off place
en route
from London to Bristol. The top floor of the pub was built to
celebrate Queen Victoria's Jubilee and prisoners used to be kept in our
cellar. We offer the
best value food in the area with hearty portions for all the family.
We have quality beers and real ales which are
always available. The Royal Anchor awaits you with a guaranteed warm
and friendly welcome.
