The Red Lion has been welcoming guests since 1736 when it was first recorded as a coaching inn. Now a Grade ll listed building set in the centre of this bustling market town, the hotel continues its tradition of hospitality, offering guests a warm welcome with a wide range of delicious food and carefully selected fine wines from all over the world.

Our chefs provide a range of freshly prepared meals including a variety of traditional British favourites in addition to a selection of innovative and interesting dishes. Daily changing house Specials compliment the core menu. From tasty main courses such as 'Pan-seared Barbary Duck Breast served with Blackberry & Vintage Port sauce' to light bar snacks such as 'Hand-carved Norfolk Ham & Free Range Eggs', whichever you choose, your taste buds will be satisfied.

The Red Lion Hotel is a beautifully presented Grade II listed building, originally a Coaching Inn located in the centre of the market town of Fareham. It has a traditional, warm and friendly atmosphere with contemporary interior and helpful staff always on hand. Our 46 en-suite bedrooms all have individual character with modern facilities. Included are two executive rooms which come complete with the extra facilities of a DVD player and room safe. There is also ground floor accommodation suitable for disabled clients. Mouth watering cuisine is of a high standard with freshly prepared food cooked to order, available every evening from our main A La Carte menu, or bar snacks for a light bite in the afternoon We are famous in the area for our delicious Sunday carvery, with a choice of meats prepared, of course, to our usual high standard. We are a popular venue for celebrations including wedding receptions and birthdays. At these times you have use of our large function suite which can comfortably hold up to 100 guests.
