 The
Park Tavern is just off the High Street outside the Royal Naval
dockyards. Being over 200 years old it has been improved and
modernised over the years but still retains traditional features like the
wooden furniture. This is a one room pub with an oval bar in the
middle. Most of the trade is from the Navy with regulars and passers
by enjoying a relaxed atmosphere during the day when we are popular for
the food we serve from the main menu. Being trouble free and female
friendly women are happy to come in for a meal or a chat over a drink.
In the evenings the pub becomes livelier as we are the first stop on the
circuit into town. Entertainment-wise we are not so big on sport, although
we do show the major matches, but we hold frequent Karaoke's and occasional Charity
events which are all very popular. The friendliness of the place is
the biggest draw with helpful staff on hand to add to the welcoming
atmosphere. Do come and see us soon.
