King Rufus
is located some six miles from Southampton in the
village of Chandlers Ford, two miles from the M3.
Historically the pub was named after King William
(named Rufus because of his red hair), whose body
was brought here en route from Southampton to
Winchester. This delightful modern style pub has a
log burner for those chilly winter evenings and a
super beer garden and al fresco dining terrace for
the summer months. The surrounding gardens are
landscaped and kept in good order on a weekly basis
by the local gardener.
Refurbished in Spring 2011
this is a family friendly pub which is particularly
popular with diners. With no distractions other
than background music this is a great place to come
and relax over a quiet drink, an interesting
conversation and maybe be tempted by the extensive
menu! All are welcome here and we have full
disabled facilities including a ramp.
Make sure you call in next time you are passing.
Your first visit is sure not to be your last! |
