Occupying a prime position in the New Forest town of Fordingbridge,
close to a holiday park, you will find the country pub known as
The George. With a riverside
terrace decorated with flowers, a conservatory for less clement days and
stunning views across the river this is such a lovely place to visit.
A listed building dating back to the 1700's, the pub is positioned next to
the unique 'seven arch stone bridge'. A superb village pub dining
venue, food is served from a new an varied
main menu, alongside a regularly changing specials board which includes a
running favourite the Steak & Guinness Pie. Meals can be eaten throughout the pub or
out on the terrace during the fine days of summer. There is a range of
wines to choose from to complement your meal or a good selection of real
ales if you prefer. We are open for coffee every morning, and we're a
great venue to relax with a coffee outside on a summers morning and enjoy
the view. Come
and see us next time you are in this pretty part of the country. Our
friendly staff and local clientele will give you a very warm welcome at the
George.
