Empress
of Blandings, originally known as St
Jacques, is located in Copythorne on the edge of New Forest.
Easily accessible, being just off Junction 1 & 2 of the
M27, this attractive destination venue welcomes
those coming for a quality drink along with others
coming to dine. Historically the name is
associated with a prize winning black pig in a novel
by PG Woodhouse and we have been made an honourable
member of the ‘Worcester Society for PG Woodhouse’
of which we are very proud! Inside is
very spacious and well laid out with smaller areas
as well which are separated by semi screens for
extra privacy - a good mixture. The decor is
traditional yet very light and welcoming.
There are two wood burning stoves and photos of the
area don the walls. As well as having a self
contained Function Room upstairs, we can also cater
for large parties downstairs. We support six car
clubs and a couple of local theatrical clubs.
With a good reputation for our food and service, the
staff team has been here a long time and is
well established. Our daughter is the
assistant manager and this gives us a family run
atmosphere. This is a really good place to
meet so come along soon and try us out. |
