The Crab is a real family dining pub situated in the old
village of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. Mentioned in the Doomsday
Book, this beautiful traditional Inn with its thatched roof is steeped in
history. You enter into the 85 seater restaurant and five steps lead
up to the bar which is quite separate. The many visitors here are
welcomed by helpful friendly staff who contribute to the relaxed ambience
of the place. Food can be chosen from an extensive menu which, true to
the name of the pub, includes crab dishes! A weekly quiz, live music
and a pool table and darts board give entertainment for all. Come
and try something a little out of the ordinary at this timeless venue.
