The Bun Penny pub, Lee on the SolentThe Bun Penny is to be found about 300 yards from the waterfront at Lee on the Solent.  This well looked after, traditional style pub used to be known as the Victoria Hotel.  The present name has some history behind it!  During the second world war, the only fire engine in the area was stored here.  Outside we have a beautifully maintained, enclosed garden with a tree purported to be about 500 years old!  This is 'the' place to be on a nice summer's day, having a meal or a drink in the sunshine whilst the children play.  Inside is open plan with original beams and an open fire which is lit on cold wintry nights.  The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and child friendly.  This is a great place to come for a drink or to try some great food.  The menu is quite varied, prepared and cooked to order with lots of tempting specials.  One of our regulars has been coming here for forty years so we must be doing something right!  Call in and try us soon.  You too may become a long term regular!!
