Bear Hotel was originally a Coaching
Inn dating back to 1795. Set in historic surroundings and located near the town
centre, we take pride in The Bear's successful combination of traditional
charming features and modern facilities. The cosy bar and restaurant, with open fire, serve
fine food from a main menu & specials board along with a delicious
weekly Roast lunch on a Sunday. Our diners can complement their food with a choice of
drink from a wide selection. The 42 en-suite bedrooms offer very comfortable
accommodation at reasonable prices. All rates include breakfast so that guests feel completely satisfied with
their visit. The Bear Hotel has two conference rooms which can
accommodate up to 150 people. Around this hotel there are plenty of local attractions
to make your visit even more fulfilling including the Mary Rose, Warrior,
Portsmouth Historic Docks, Excellent shopping at Gunwharf Quays and
Southampton. All the staff at this
