Around the World was established on Town Quay in August 1989, named after the world-famous Whitbread Yacht Race and is situated in the heart of maritime Southampton.  Both the bar and restaurant offer superb views of the busy International container and passenger port and marina.  We are conveniently positioned adjacent to the Isle of Wight and Hythe ferries, so come and enjoy our friendly surroundings before embarking on your trip or even visit us after shopping.  We are only 5 minutes walk from Southampton's central shopping area, or if you prefer to take the car, we have adequate parking facilities.  If you are on the look-out for history, we suggest walking Southampton's historic walls on the "Walk the Walls" trail and making a slight detour at the bottom of the High Street.  We are also within easy walking distance of the Titanic monument and the Maritime and Archeology Museums.  Why not come and join us for a meal or a drink.  Our friendly staff look forward to seeing you soon.
