 The Woodman in Wimbledon is a sports orientated pub with the emphasis on rugby. Being advertised on the internet as a meeting place, we have many visitors from the Antipodes coming to watch the games. We show all other matches of course on the big screen and our plasma screens around the bar. We have a selection of football, lady's football, rugby, pool and darts teams to choose from giving quite a competitive air to the place! We have a good choice of food available from the main menu and Specials board at all times with popular food offers during the week. Meals can be eaten anywhere in the pub, out on the patio or in the garden during the summer months. The venue has an open plan bar with a conservatory which can be hired for private parties of up to 60 people with extras spilling over into the main bar area. Our lunchtime clientele includes regulars, passers by, visitors and business people who are able to pre-order their meal by phone to cut down on waiting, fitting in well with a busy day's schedule. Other entertainment includes a weekly quiz and Jam Session which is very well attended. With an age range covering the whole spectrum, why not pop in and experience the great, friendly atmosphere of the Woodman for yourself. |
