The
Wellington is just up the road from the famous Old
Vic Theatre, opposite Waterloo station and close to landmarks such
as the London Eye and IMAX cinema. The outside appearance doesn’t do justice
to the inside. This is a very large venue with a big mural on the
ceiling of the battle of Waterloo.
Steeped in history, bodies were stored here during the first
and second world wars. Today this open plan venue is traditional inside
with sofas,
leather fixed seating and benches. Food is served all day
from a main menu offering hearty meals including favourites such
as fish & chips and a traditional Sunday Roast lunch. Your
meal can be enjoyed in a great, relaxed atmosphere.
We have seven plasma screens, including a 60"one to view the
match of the moment and we also have free Wi-Fi access.
Our clientele include a mixture of people
from contractors and business people to tourists. There
are 26 en suite letting rooms if you wish to prolong your stay
in London. Come and see us soon.
