Built in 1812, the
Waggon & Horses is a very traditional,
deceptively large pub located on the main road a ten minute walk away from
Kingston in one direction and Surbiton in the other. In the 19th
century this old coaching house kept and extra horse to help with the climb
up Surbiton Hill! Set in a
residential area, close to schools and the university, our clientele
includes regular locals, teachers and some students. This is a
friendly, trouble free venue where all newcomers are given a warm welcome.
Homemade food is served from our own menu and is freshly prepared and cooked
to order. Complement your meal with a choice wine or real ale and you
have a meal to remember! If you are planning to come for Sunday lunch,
then it is worth arriving early. For those looking for a place to hold
a party our function room can cater for up to 30 people. Next time you
are in the area be sure to call in at the Waggon & Horses and enjoy a break
in this sociable pub.
