Torch pub, WembleyThe Torch is a two bar venue located next to Wembley Park tube station.  The name derives from when it was built in 1956 as the Olympic Torch at the time of the Games.  This is a very pleasant great pub with a friendly, non intimidating atmosphere where women are happy to come.  There is a good base of local regulars and a fair few passers by and commuters from the train who pop in for a bite to eat or to have a quality drink with friends.  Food is served from the popular John Barras menu and is usually eaten in the non smoking lounge area, or beer garden during the summer.  Games are viewed in the noisier sports bar on two big screens, which also houses the pool table, darts board and juke box.  Entertainment includes weekly karaoke and occasional special events on key calendar dates.  Why not break your journey at the Torch next time you're passing and chill out in this sociable pub.
