Chef & BrewerTo one end of Uxbridge The Swan & Bottle is a friendly establishment where good food and drink can be enjoyed.  Dating back to the 17th Century this used to be two pubs, the Olde Swan and the Leather Bottle.  During the 18th Century, when the Grand Union canal was constructed, we were popular with the workers.  Nowadays we attract a broad mix of customers from families to women coming as a group or on their own.  There is a 'home away from home' atmosphere which is created by our staff who all take pride in their work.  On arrival you will find open fires, comfortable furnishings and secluded dining areas.  Outside there is a patio area which overlooks the canal.  Mooring points are situated just outside where boats can moor up for up to 24 hours.  This pub is part of the Chef & Brewer chain.  Like all pubs of this type we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities.  The food can be chosen from a main menu or a variety of unique Specials are available including fresh fish dishes.  You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order.  We have been quoted in a review as having 'the best gravy in the South'!  To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines as well as real ales from the bar.  Whether coming as a diner or just passing through for a pint you will be guaranteed a friendly time.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
