 The Shirley Inn
is situated on the A217 London Road in Shirley,
on the corner with shops each side and opposite. With local
housing, a church and park, Shirley still has a village atmosphere
and this has always, as far as we know, been a pub. We are not far
from Croydon and close to Biggin Hill. Outside there is an
attractive paved courtyard area with planters and hanging
baskets. There are also two smoking shelters with heating,
lighting and a plasma screen. This one bar pub was refurbished in
August 2007 and has mainly traditional seating, two high tables with
chairs and three sofas. We have free Wi-Fi access and
plasma screens positioned to enable you to see the Sport from anywhere
in the pub. We attract a clientele of all ages, the majority being
between late 20’s to early 50’s. Food is served every day from a
varied main menu with the daily offer being very popular. Your
meal can be complemented by a fine wine or a real ale served to
perfection. This is a really good, friendly, trouble free pub
where everyone, including strangers, are greeted and made to feel
welcome in an open minded and unprejudiced, comfortable environment.
We have live bands on a Saturday which are very popular and well
attended plus karaoke one Saturday per month in place of the band.
