English Ale Festival in celebration of St George.
Come and take part in our new English Ale Festival, running
until the 28th May. As well as a number of English cask ales you
can request us to source locally brewed beers! In addition to
superb beers we have launched a newsletter with lots of helpful
information. You can also take part in our collector scheme,
whereby if you purchase 9 festival bitters you will be entered
into a free prize draw to win a limited edition glass tankard
engraved with the Festival logo. |

 Situated on
Blackheath, within close walking distance of Greenwich Park, is the new and
improved Royal Standard. Following redevelopment, we re-opened in August
2007 to reveal a fantastic new look totally unique to the area and offering a
relaxed dining and drinking venue. Inside, the
sophisticated décor resembles that of a classy gentleman’s club. With a
‘tin’ ceiling and an eclectic mix of furnishings including big chesterfield
seats, this more upmarket, open plan site is ideal for enjoying a drink
alone or with friends, or some fantastic food. Our menu offers the ‘Best of
British’ with a range of freshly prepared dishes available from our main
menu or daily specials board. Food, quality beers and a large range of
drinks are served to you by friendly, helpful staff. Outside there are two
gardens, the back with 50 covers and a further 20 to the front. If you
are revisiting, you must come and see the changes for yourself.
