Known locally as the best kept secret in Sutton,
the Robin Hood is situated in a residential area just off the main
high street in Sutton. Outside is white with black beams and inside, although not
huge, is cosy and welcoming with a real fire for the winter
months. Although all one area the 'top end' is considered
the public bar. This is the kind of place you can sit and
chat and have a nice time with friends. People will come in
as strangers but leave knowing someone. We have a good
reputation as a female friendly and trouble free pub. This
is 'a pub you
can bring your granny to'! There are old peoples homes to
the left of the pub, and we attract many senior citizens who
know us as a safe, non hostile venue. With no loud music or
noisy TV's this is a pub where a quiet drink and some good
company can be enjoyed. There is a games corner, where many while away an hour or
two with a game of back gammon, cribbage, dominoes, shove'ha'penny
or even Mah Jong, to mention but a few. It has been known
for people to bring their own games in too! We have
entertainment such as Quiz and Cribbage nights and hold big
events on Halloween, New Years Eve, Christmas Eve, St Georges
Day etc. We also support a local charity in aid of senior
citizens and those who can't get around in the Sutton area,
raising £25,000 for them, with big events a couple of times
a year such as auctions or sponsoring. Good simple pub
food is available every day, alongside favourites such as steak,
ham and egg & chips. We also do a large range of curries
and seven delicious desserts. The snack menu runs all day,
so you can always pick up a sausage roll or ham slice. If
you are new to the area come and meet the local regulars and try
a quality pint. You will soon become a regular yourself.
