 Pope's Grotto
Hotel is ideally
situated just a 20-25 minute walk from Twickenham Rugby Ground, directly
opposite the River Thames. Strawberry Hill station is a five minutes walk away
with trains every twenty minutes heading to central London. In a
lovely location the
pub is an olde English style of bar with oak wooden furniture. We
are very much a home for local regulars and they class us as an extension of their own
lounge, having a very relaxed atmosphere. This is an ideal dining
venue and also somewhere to enjoy a drink with friends and maybe watch a
football or rugby match. Overlooking the River Thames, it was re-opened following
a complete refurbishment in July 2000. Our 32 en-suite rooms are
furnished to a high standard and have excellent facilities such as air
conditioning. The Function room accommodates up to 55 people and
during the summer time this can increase to a further 40 on the private patio
area. We are a popular venue for wedding receptions, birthdays and,
indeed, any party. You can dine throughout the pub and the restaurant offers
table service. All our food is freshly prepared in-house and offers a good
variety of dishes from traditional and contemporary main courses to sandwiches and
light bites. Make sure you call in and
