The Plough is a traditional, local community pub in the centre of Beddington with the technology of the 21st Century, including a Nintendo Wii, two Sky boxes to show more than one important event or match plus a pool and poker table which are behind the bar.  With this, a weekly quiz night and some form of monthly entertainment there really is something for everyone.  The building is old and imposing and we have an entry in the Guinness Book of records for being the only pub situated in the middle of a traffic island!  You have to cross the road to get to us on the island but don't worry as we are not hard to get to.  Inside we have a central bar and the pub is designed with different areas.  People are often comfortable just having a drink around the bar, or there is a very relaxed area for dining with a fire and for sport enthusiasts you have the TV's with Sky Sports etc.  There is also a quiet area to enjoy a pint with wooden flooring, a darts board and fruit machines.  In addition to these is the outside area for al fresco dining in Summer.  Beddington is a small town with a residential area surrounding us, a cluster of local shops with a community feel.  Generations of regular locals have been dining and drinking with us.  Friday teatime is very busy as people enjoy popping in straight from work when there is a buzzing atmosphere.  Saturday is another popular time if there is a sporting event or match on, especially when Chelsea are playing.  We welcome large groups as long as they are well behaved.  Inside is of traditional décor with a modern twist, high and low tables, warm red and cream colours with two open fires which are lit in winter.  We are just over the road from Beddington Park and St Marys church so we often cater for christenings and funerals.  Our beer garden is walled in, safe for children and we have a patio which has a fabulous raised BBQ area. Outside is big enough for garden games and inflatables in summer.   We are proud sponsors of the local team FC who join us for drinks Thursday after training and Sunday after games.  So as you can see we are a busy pub serving great food, with an enthusiasm for sport and a good pint.
