 The Norbiton & Dragon is situated quite
close to Hampton Court and
a few minutes walk from Richmond Park in Kingston upon Thames. The pub
has been a Dragon for many years and following a refurbishment in
October 2006 it has more of a gastro pub feel with a
contemporary style in a white and dark brown colour scheme. The back bar has high
gold plated wood with glass and there is also a big stone fireplace with an open fire
and
some sofas. The 75 cover restaurant has an Eastern influence with Thai
artefacts. Downstairs the bar is a great place to enjoy a drink and is popular with
the mostly 30’s upwards age group. Office and business people tend
to come for lunch to enjoy the really nice atmosphere here and then
return in the evening from 5 - 6pm before the homeward journey.
Outside there is a garden and patio area which is popular with families
during the summer. We have al fresco dining with full waitress
service on the decked area and you can also order
food to eat on the grass. Food served downstairs is more traditional
English pub food although the Thai menu is also available. This is a
very popular venue for food at all times and your meal is freshly prepared in house and cooked to order.
