The Narrow, formerly known as the
Narrow Street, is the first pub opened by Gordon Ramsay Holdings.
Constructed by British Waterways between 1905 and 1910, it is set in the historic Limehouse area of London
right beside the River Thames. A beautiful Grade II listed building,
sympathetically restored to retain it's historic character and original
features, it is divided into the bar area and a relaxed eating and
dining room. Panelling covers the lower half of the walls, with
black and white vintage photography and prints displayed on the upper
walls. Original features such as the fireplaces remain intact.
Private dining can be arranged in The Captain's Table dining room, which
offers a luxurious dining experience for groups of up to 14 people.
The manager, Justin Whitehead who previously ran The County Arms in
Wandsworth, invites you to enjoy a relaxed drinking / dining experience
with the heart of the pub focusing on classic British food and
hospitality. Menus are created by John Collin and Mark Sargeant,
who focus on using quality seasonal ingredients to produce traditional
British favourites such as handmade pork pie with homemade piccalilli
and Oxford lamb steaks with portabello mushroom and anchovy butter.
Puddings will always be a favourite with recipes continuing the classic
British theme such as marmalade pudding with custard. To
complement your meal, the Narrow has on a range of drinks which include superb real
ales, cocktails and fine wines. You can visit the Narrow homepage at
