 The
Minories offers customers old and new a welcoming atmosphere and
friendly staff always on hand to serve you quality food and drink. Our name is
derived from the Abbey of the Minoresses Of St. Mary of the Order of St.
Claire which stood on the site, founded in 1294. Step outside the door
and you can see the Tower of London and
Tower Bridge. Just five minutes walk from Tower Hill Tube Station we
extremely handy for a relaxed luncheon, after work drinks or the venue for a
good evening party. Most pubs in the area are more like bars whereas
Minories offers you a traditional pub environment. Built under the
railway in two of the arches there is exposed brickwork and plenty of
different little areas of which some have sofas and comfortable seating.
High quality pub food is available every day from a varied main menu and
Specials board, with most of the dishes prepared in-house from fresh
produce. You are welcome to dine throughout the pub, but if you are
looking for table service, at weekday lunchtimes we offer this in our back
bar which is a separate dining area. At other times this area is ideal
for private parties with a maximum capacity of 140 people. One of the
best features of this pub is the large back garden which is one of few in
the area. It has heaters and the large umbrellas give welcome shade in
