First
recorded in 1729, The Lamb is a mixture
of styles with some 18th Century parts remaining and the snob screens an
interesting remnant of the late Victorian era. These hinged,
frosted-glass screens were a development of the 1890s and allowed the staff
to check on customers without disturbing their privacy. The Lamb
has no TV or music, just lively conversation. It was acquired by
Young's in 1956 and has welcomed people from all over the world who want to
enjoy Young's award winning ales. Be sure to visit us next time you
are in the area.
