The Grove
is located
just off the High Street in Camberwell, next to Kings Road Hospital.
From the outside this old building looks more like a library than a pub.
Looks can be deceptive though and inside is very different. Having had a
full refurbishment in January 2007 there is quite a contemporary style. The furniture is a mixture of high seating and low
comfy chairs with a couple of sofas. There is a separate dining
area which seats 56 people. Attractive decor and low lighting
complete the new look. Delicious food is all freshly prepared and cooked to order.
You can choose from a main menu including beer-battered cod, chips with mushy peas
and
healthy options cooked from our grill. To complement your meal
there is a good range of about 30 wines, a
cocktail menu and, of course, Young's real ales served to perfection!.
Our clientele are generally a mixture of young professionals with many
coming from Kings Road
Hospital next door. This is a good place to hold a private party - you can
even stock your own fridge and have a dedicated barman if you wish.
Be sure to call in next time you are in the area and receive a warm
welcome.
