The Grove is a large, three
storey corner pub situated away from the main high road in Balham. It has been
reincarnated several time but has always been an hotel and public house.
The
stylish Victorian building dates back to the early 1900’s and boasts beautiful architecture. You are greeted
by a delightful patio area decorated with plants and flowers to the
front and side. This area is under cover with individual sun
canopies all the way round and has electric heating. Inside has
retained it’s traditional character and charm having a lovely original
fireplace and ornate moulded walls. The very high ceilings give the
whole place a light and airy ambience. It is an open plan venue, with
a raised area to the back. Many local regulars as well as a few business
people come during the day for their lunch or a relaxing drink. We
also see mothers with buggies who drop in
for a chat and maybe a spot of lunch or a light bite. The food served is all
freshly prepared and cooked to order with delicious choices such as the
Grove Burger which is handmade with plenty of tasty ingredients. You can
choose to dine
throughout the pub. Nice
and comfy, we have sofas, low tables and candles in the evening. Come
along soon to this chilled out, relaxed, upmarket local for a quality drink
or an appetising meal.
