The
Greyhound is a traditional, former John Barras style pub located
in Streatham Common. Built in the early 1700's as a Coaching Inn on the
main route to Brighton, it was rebuilt in the 1930's and is one of the largest
and most interesting buildings in the area with a sizeable beer garden.
The one main room is zoned for pool, big screen etc. with a main restaurant area
and conservatory. This part can also be
booked for private functions such as birthdays and weddings. The Greyhound is big on Sport and food. There are two big
screens for viewing those major matches and two pool tables and a darts board to
have a sociable game with friends. Food is served from a main menu and
specials board giving the best choice in the area. This can be
pre-ordered to save waiting time in a busy day's schedule. Our clientele is
a mix of regular locals and passers by of all ages. Children are allowed
in the conservatory up to 9pm if supervised. Come along soon and take
advantage of our food and drink offers, meet the locals and have a good evening
at this sociable venue.
