 County Arms is located close to the Walthamstow Dog Track
in Highams Park and is the main sports pub in the area. It has
excellent facilities for both watching and playing games and has its own
pool and darts teams. Part of the pub is an old church and this section
of the building is listed. The
interior has contemporary decor in a horseshoe
design. Our refurbishment of both the inside and exterior of the pub
was completed in late August 2004. There is good public transport connecting the pub to the surrounding area
and the train station is only 40 yards away. Despite the relatively
young clientele and sports fans, the pub is trouble free and female
friendly. We hold a weekly quiz and have a function room to be hired
for that special occasion. Come along soon and join this friendly venue
to watch a match or just have a quality drink amongst friends.
