The Cock & Dragon is an interesting pub dating back to 1798 situated close to the tube station, behind the cricket pitch in Cockfosters.  Trent Park is nearby where the Caribbean and Steam Fair Festivals are held each year.  Arsenal Football Ground is a mere twenty minutes tube journey so we attract their away supporters who call in en route.  Being on the London Circle, where you can see the capital on foot all the way round, we often get walkers popping in here. Inside the pub is very relaxed with a separate traditional bar area and contemporary Thai styled restaurant upstairs where we serve authentic Thai cuisine all freshly cooked to order from fresh ingredients. There are 76 covers and it is always advisable to book.  The bar is very English with a hint of Thai feel, the occasional artefact and an unusual table with artefacts above the bar.  There is comfy seating with five leather sofas and two gas fires alongside Chippendale chairs tucked around the bar.  Plenty of little nooks and crannies which are ideal for a romantic drink or dining.  Food is served from a bar menu which includes traditional snack style pub food such as jacket potatoes.  The free wireless internet access is very popular and people are more than welcome to come in to use the facility and have a cup of coffee.  As there is no loud music or TV we even have informal business meetings going on.  Being female friendly men and women come in for a quiet drink or to wait for someone, read the magazines and enjoy the library where they can purchase books for charity.  Outside there is a large garden with a massive grassed area which is great for our younger clientele.  Parents can sit with a bottle of wine while they run around and, because it’s not in-between tables, nobody is bothered.  Come and try our delicious food or check out our real ales next time you're nearby.
