 Located
in the centre of Whitehall, The Clarence
offers excellent service, food and drink. Fully refurbished in March
2007, we have retained a traditional style with wood floors and plenty of wooden beams.
It is warm and cosy looking, with candles on the tables. The dining
room has a good view of Big Ben. We
are very proud to have won the 'Pub Food of the Year' award in 2004.
Our meals are very popular, with separate bar and dining room menus
available throughout the day, both offering a varied range of dishes. The cuisine makes us a busy haunt at
all times attracting tourists, office staff and some government
workers. We see the largest number of tourists at the weekend when the
place is packed. You will find this a friendly pub which
retains its staff for years so that regular customers get to know the people
behind the bar. Our staff come from all around the world. We
welcome everyone, customers old and new. Bring your friends or pop in
on your own to enjoy the good food and drinks which are always available.
