HAVE YOUR FUNCTION WITH US |
|
FUNCTIONS |
We can cater for occasions
such as weddings, birthdays, funeral teas etc. We can provide a sit down
meal for up to 30 people or buffets can be provided for up to 40 people.
Drinks parties are a bit of a specialty, although we don’t have a self
contained function room as such we do have several naturally segregated
areas of the pub which lend themselves perfectly if you are looking for
your own space whilst still being part of the buzz.
Although we know the Courtyard is the perfect place
for your Summer Party, Birthday or Wedding, it is
also a firm favourite with our other valued
customers and regulars and therefore we are
unfortunately unable to exclusively hire the whole
courtyard to one party. That said, we can offer you
our lower balcony area, which seamlessly becomes
part of our lovely courtyard when our floor to
ceiling glass doors are opened out. Please ring to
discuss your requirements - although if you have not seen the pub before
it is probably better to call in as it’s a visual
thing! |

The
Albert, named
after Queen Victoria's husband, is
just 500 metres from the Kingston Gate entrance to
Richmond Park in Norbiton and has been a public house since
1855. Steeped in history, the story goes that
would-be inmates of the old Kingston Workhouse, now
Kingston Hospital, opposite the pub, would bury
small amounts of money in the roadside verges (now
part of the pub car park) in order to gain
admittance to the workhouse claiming destitution!
The pub was altered in 1894 and again in the 1930's.
When Kingston Hill was the main route from London to
Kingston the household Cavalry used to stop here for
refreshments for both men and their horses on the
way from Buckingham Palace. Today, still going strong, we offer a pub
for all occasions. Inside there is a contemporary
look with a great atmosphere. We serve gorgeous
home cooked seasonal food every day. Also on offer is a
great selection of well kept real ales as well as
delicious
wines all available by the glass plus fresh fruit
juices and smoothies, freshly brewed coffee or
afternoon teas… Thirsty yet? Our modern day royalty are our
lovely doctors and nurses from Kingston Hospital
over the road, where we are known as 'The Albert
Ward'! Summer is a bustling hub of activity,
with cyclists, runners, dog walkers, sun bathers,
kite flyers and more, all of whom are welcome to our
pub for a refreshing drink.
See our website for more details of the park,
jogging routes and local running clubs. Our particular
favourites are The Hash House Harriers - self named "drinkers with a running problem"!
There are areas available to hire for any special
event - just call in, ring us or have a look at the
website for more details. Whether it's a
romantic meal for two or a birthday bash with
friends and family, we've got something to suit your
needs. Pop in and see it for yourself! |
