Whittle Inn in Brockworth is situated on the old Roman road which connects the City of Gloucester with Barnwood, Hucclecote and Cirencester.  Historically Brockworth, with its semi-remote position, was the ideal location for Gloster Aircraft Company Ltd, spelt Gloster as people overseas found it difficult to pronounce!  This  factory made planes such as the Gloster Gladiator, Hawker Hurricane and the Gloster Meteor.  For the past 150 years Brockworth has been known locally for the annual rolling of Double Gloucester cheese down Cooper's Hill which is a landmark within the parish, lots of fun to watch and join in.  This is held in May during the Spring Bank Holiday Monday.  The Whittle Inn was built in 2005 so is of modern decor with cream walls, wooden pillars and part wood and carpeted flooring.  It is a fairly large pub seating 200 diners and you can enjoy your meal anywhere throughout the pub.  We attract a range of people, given we are based in a business park near shops, businesses and a gym.  Families are very welcome and there is also a quieter area should adults wish to have a more intimate meal on their own.  Quality Brewers Fayre food is served at a reasonable price and the children's menu holds appetizing choices for our younger visitors.  Our bar staff are always happy to serve you.  Should you be going to the Cheltenham Races the Premier Inn is an ideal place to stay over and enables you to dine and have a relaxing breakfast with us.  Come and visit us soon.
